I’ve been playing around with Windows Live Local and Google Local. I did a few searches like “children party places in north platte, ne”.
Apparently, Google Local returns many more results than Windows Live Local does. Windows Live Local returned one result which was in Lincoln, NE for Folsom Children’s Zoo & Botanical Gardens.
Google Local returned seven results. Five of the seven were for North Platte, NE. However, NONE of the results returned by Google were for a place where a children’s party could be held. Results from Google included:
- Keep North Platte Beautiful
(308) 534-8100
715 S Jeffers St
North Platte, NE 69101
-
North Platte Code Compliance
211 W 3rd St, North Platte, NE
(308) 535-6675
- North Platte Police Dept
715 S Jeffers St, North Platte, NE
(308) 535-6789
Not much search relevance from Google when I’m searching in North Platte, NE. However, when I do the same search in San Francisco, Windows Live Local returns zero results. Yes, ZERO. Google returns twenty results about which only five were relevant children party places.
Bottom line is that more isn’t necessarily better.
