FON has gotten a huge amount of blogosphere and media coverage over the last day or two. It appears to be a very interesting idea. I’m not sure how well it would fly in the US with all the broadband providers prohibiting the sharing of broadband pipes – just another example of old businesses trying to keep their revenue with old ideas rather than thinking of new innovative ideas for increasing their revenue. Do you think Verizon could have come up with a model similar to FON and made more money than their traditional DSL service.
