Flock is awesome!

Flock is awesome!  If you’re a blogger, or love sharing pictures, or reading lots of RSS feeds, or storing your “favorites”/bookmarks online, you must use Flock.  Most importantly, if you want a pretty stable, fast, and widely supported (Flock is built on the most recent Firefox 1.504 codebase) that recovers from crashes really well, you have to use Flock.

Just today, Flock got stuck on a page and threw up a modal dialog box asking if I wanted to continue or stop the script from running.  I couldn’t click “Stop” so I killed the flock process on my Mac Mini.  When I restarted flock, I was asked if I wanted to open up the session that was open during the crash.  I also had the option to open up a previous session.  I selected the current session and Flock opened up ALL of the loaded tabs I had open when the crash occured.  Flock did not open the page that hung Flock.  I’m not sure if this was intended or not.  It is possible that Flock happened not to know that page was open since it may not have rendered properly when I forced the kill.

For a Beta, this browser has been working very very well on Ubuntu, SuSE 10.1, and Apple OS X (it’s Universal Binary).  You can go get it here: Flock â?? The web browser for you and your friends
